This piece was named after the following poem created by JVL:

“I’ve always believed

I cry salt water.

The tears you see

will dry up

reassembling

into stardust.

This magic you see

is always worth

a little hurt sometimes”.

Somewhere between the sand and the stardust, Volume II, p249, JVL
